Disnomian Emperor Shion

Shion is a little tricky to paint, as his original design is quite simple, it is not very good when translated into realistic style. So I have to redesign some parts of him, yet I can't make him to complex either, in order to maintain some consistency. His sword, for example, have no design reference from the hilt onward to the handle.
Yet, I think the most striking part of the painting is the blood aura swirling him. In the original design it is more calm, here I made it like a raging storm, which fits him perfectly.
